Jazz in the Park: Finalist at the European Festival Awards for the Seventh Time

Jazz in the Park has reached the finals of the European Festival Awards for the fourth consecutive year, and for the seventh time in its history, competing in the Best Small Festival category (festivals with fewer than 10,000 visitors per day). This selection places Jazz in the Park among the top 10 small festivals in Europe, a recognition granted exclusively based on public votes.

The nomination reaffirms the strong community built around Jazz in the Park and the growing interest in a festival centered on jazz—a niche genre in Romania—yet presented in a way that is accessible, welcoming, and culturally relevant.

In 2019, Jazz in the Park won the Best Small Festival trophy, following an edition held in Cluj-Napoca’s Central Park. Shortly after, the festival industry was heavily affected by the pandemic. Our continuous return to the finals of the European Festival Awards is, today, a validation of our vision and of the long-term relationship we’ve cultivated with our audience.

The winners of this year’s edition will be announced on January 14, during the awards gala in Groningen, the Netherlands.
